1. Jesus Christ has complete authority in religious matters.
  2. Jesus placed that authority into his spoken Word.
  3. Jesus passed that Word along to the apostles by the Holy Spirit. They wrote it down, it has been preserved in the New Testament, and it will judge us in the Last Day.

  4. THE NEW TESTAMENT IS SUFFICIENT.
    1. If you do what it says, you can be saved.
And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. -- John 20:30-31
    2. If you keep on doing what it says, you can remain saved.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. -- II Timothy 3:16-17
