Teen & 60+ Dinner
West-Ark
18 December 2004

On Saturday Night, December 18th, the West-Ark teenagers hosted the 14th annual Teen/60+ Dinner. Our 7th-12th graders and a few of their parents did all of the set up, table decorations, cooking, entertaining, and clean-up.

They decorated the 12 tables with the words to the 12 days of Christmas. As the guests arrived, they were told to choose a table. Then the fellowship and food began.

The teens did all of the serving and we enjoyed a fantastic meal followed by some wonderful desserts that were made by West-Ark church members. Thank You!

During the meal, our teens and 60+ members were challenged by Brad to learn at least one thing about someone at their table that they didn't already know. Then we took turns sharing some of the things we learned about each other with the whole group.

Our teens closed the night by leading us in several different Christmas songs including "TheTwelve Days of Christmas." Each table had to sing their own verse based on what table they chose at the beginning of the night.

Every single person that came got to pick out a gift to take home. We honored several people including a couple who had been married over 70 years, our "oldest member" who is 91 years old, and Charley and Sedalia Douglas for the many, many years of service to the 60+ group.

There were approximately 100 of us gathered for this night of food, fellowship, and appreciation for one another. We are grateful to Christ for His sacrifice. Without Him, our friendships would have never formed. Praise be to Him for all things!
