Hayride
West-Ark Youth
October 28 and November 4, 2006

On Saturday, October 28th, and Saturday, November 4th, our Jr. and Sr. High students were invited out to the Prater/Davis farm in Cedarville to enjoy one of the finer things in life: a good old-fashioned hayride.

Many of our students had never been on a hayride and they weren't too sure they wanted to experience one now. But they quickly found out about what they had been missing and were glad they decided to go.

We were given a tour of the 200+ acre farm and we learned all about oak trees, persimmon trees, and cedar trees. (There are male and female trees ... did you know that?) We also learned about mistletoe, blueberry patches, and trees that you make tea from. We saw cows, horses, chickens, sheep and other animals.

But most importantly, we enjoyed a great time of fellowship - cooking, eating, singing and worshipping our God together. We are very thankful to the Praters and the Davis's for their willingness to invite us up to their place two weekends in a row.

We definitely learned a lot about each other and were blessed by our experiences together!
